Message I went to check out a Z they had for sale. I think this was back in 2006. It was beat to crap but they can't be blamed for that as it belonged to someone else. They were just selling it. What I do blame on them was their shade tree mechanic skills that came to light with a minor amount of prodding on my part.

1) The airbag light was on. The suggestion given to me was to remove the light bulb!

2) The idle was off a bit. Instead of them trying to fix the root cause, they had adjusted the idle as far as it could go to try to mask the problem. It didn't work.

3) I saw it leaking a large amount of oil out the bottom. It was a fairly strong and constant drip. They put it on the lift to check it out and it was leaking everywhere. They said it was coming from the VTC's they had replaced the previous evening. Are you telling me the 300ZX experts can't properly replace a set of VTC's?!?!?!?

This is my only experience with them. Needless to say, I passed on that Z and left empty handed. Brad Alderman (BradZ) was there with me that day. He can attest to everything I just said. We were both pretty irritated. In fact, there is a post on here that I made upon my return home from that 400 mile trip.

Never Play Leapfrog With A Unicorn!!!

Do yourself a favor and just worry about your own car. I don't see what everyone is so worried about anyway. If someone else wants to perform a modification that you believe will destroy the value, cheapen the Z32 or whatever you can't sit on your hands about, wouldn't that make your tastefully-modified, white bread Z32 more rare and valuable? -- BradZ (FL) on December 23, 2007 at 12:19 PM
